The top bar graph visualizes the entire fleet's status. Toggle between Active (current generation output) and Available (spare capacity that could be dispatched). Storage charging (negative output) is displayed as 0 MW.
Each fuel type has a dedicated card showing its current performance. The gauge bar indicates utilization percentage. Click Show Plants to see individual plant data, and use the Show Idle Plants toggle to view plants currently not generating.
For non-dispatchable sources like Wind and Solar, "Capacity" reflects the current output only (it is assumed for this page that these assets are always outputting as much as they can.*) The "Capability" reflects the maximum potential under ideal weather conditions (MEL), rather than theoretical installed capacity. The displayed utilization compares current output against this maximum capability values.
*Note: this may not always be the case where grid constraints are in force
Availability tracks the number of plants ready to generate (MEL > 0). For interconnectors, this also accounts for maintenance reductions in capability. This metric helps assess the overall health and readiness of the fleet. (Note that maintenence is not currently accounted for in any other fuel type, but is on the roadmap.)
