Purple barriers that you must slide under. Hitting them causes damage and reduces your lives. They represent power surges in the grid.
Red crystal obstacles that you must jump over. They represent ground faults and short circuits in the power grid.
Random events that make the game more challenging.
Uses simulated frequency variations for random gameplay. Perfect for practice and when you want an unpredictable challenge. The frequency changes follow patterns that create exciting but manageable track variations.
Uses REAL grid frequency data from the UK National Grid. Experience the actual variations in the power grid as you play. The track height follows real frequency deviations from the 50Hz target, starting from 00:00am on the very day you play! Although the hazards are still ranomised, each player gets the same track so you can compete!
The UK power grid is remarkably stable - most of the time it stays within ±0.2Hz of 50Hz. In gaming terms, this would be quite boring! The track would barely move.
To make the game engaging, we amplify these tiny frequency variations. The system analyzes the next 20 frequency readings in chunks and maps them to exciting track heights while preserving the relative patterns.
Enable "Raw Frequency" in settings to experience the unamplified grid data. You'll see how stable the grid actually is - but be warned, it makes for much less exciting gameplay!
